Set in an 18th century residence with exceptional character, the Artemis Guest House is located in the centre of Amsterdam, just a few minutes walk from the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Vondelpark, Leidseplein and many other famous attractions.
The guests’ floor offers two stylish bedrooms with a big private bathroom (with bath and shower apart). It is perfect for a family or a group of friends, up to 4 guests.
Note: If you are coming with a larger group of people, we offer also The Artemis Apartment, in the same building, just two floors below this accommodation.

The Accommodation |

The building where this accommodation is set has an exceptional character: built in 1735 as a Weavers House is therefore under the protection of the historical and monumental buildings guarded by the municipality of Amsterdam. It was recently renovated by the architects Messieurs Vroom of Amsterdam and furnished with style and personal touch.
It is situated in a very quiet residential small street guaranteeing you a hide-away stay with privacy, beauty and comfort in a ‘big’ city.
The Bedrooms:
This Guest House offers two rooms, located on the first floor of the house (which belongs entirely to the guests):
The Master Bedroom and The Front Bedroom.
The entrance is through the main staircase which is also used by your host, who is the owner of the house, but your privacy is totally guaranteed! Both rooms offer comfortable accommodation up to 4 persons.
The Master Bedroom is a large suite with a high ceiling and possesses a classically furnished sitting corner. The furniture is of Louis the 14th style with an antique mahoney wine cupboard of 18th century. The bed is of king size (1.80 meter wide). In the room you have a wireless broad internet connection (ADSL), a TV and a stereo set with DVD/CD players.

The Front Bedroom is located on the front part of the house and it is only rented together with the Master Bedroom. A bit smaller than this last one and modern decorated, it offers necessary comfort for your travel companions, be friends or children. The two persons’ bed is 1.40 meter wide. There is also a TV in this room.

The bathroom is large and it is set between the two bedrooms. It offers a king size bathtub, a separate shower cabin, a toilet block and a wash basin decorated with large mirrors.

- The Master Bedroom provides you with wireless broad internet connection (ADSL), a TV and a stereo set with DVD/CD players.
- The accommodation is not suitable for people with walking disabilities, as there are a set of stairs to access the ground floor and then the first floor, where the rooms are located;
- This is a non-smoking accommodation;
- Children are welcome;
- Sorry, no pets are allowed;
- Bed linen and towels are provided;
- This accommodation is gay friendly.

Location

The accommodation is located just a few minutes walk from most of Amsterdam’s major cultural and social events, entertainment and night life establishments. All the foremost museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, etc), the Leidse Square, the Rembrandt Square, the Flower Market, the Dam Square, the world famous Concert Gebouw , the stylish shopping streets (P. C. Hooftstraat and Van Baerle Straat) and the real Amsterdam’s Albert Cuyp bazaar (open every day except Sunday) are all at easy reach from the house. There are unlimited number of cafés and coffee-shops, bars and restaurants nearby. If you need to go further than the centre, stops for public transport are at immediate neighbourhood.

- For early inquiries (longer than 45 days before check-in) and special periods (Easter, Queen’s Day, Gay Pride, IBC conference, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc) we require minimum of 4 nights (unless it fits exactly 3 nights in the calendar);
