Amsterdam Apartment - The Old Harbour Roof Terrace

This Golden Age House is split into two sections: the front house which is occupied by your hosts, and the rear house, where the apartment is situated. The apartment is on the top of the back house and has wonderful views over the typically Dutch rooftops of the surrounding area. It also faces away from the road, so enjoys tranquillity. Being relatively high, it also has lots of fresh air and light. Interior detailing is impressive and furnishing is light, spacious and uncluttered. The owners kept all the original wooden floor, the stairs and the beams, all dating from 1650.

The Rooms:
The apartment is spread into three different floors: on the first, where you arrive, is a spacious sitting room and a lovely open plan kitchen fully equipped - including dish washer, washing machine and drier. What more could you wish for?! On the second floor is the big bedroom with sliding doors and a fancy bathroom. From there you go up the third level to the roof space - known in Dutch as the "zolder" - where you have the second bedroom.
There is ample room for two couples, for example, or a small group of friends. Everything was designed by the host, from small details to the cupboards in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom. More, it offers a big roof terrace, with plants and a small round table, so you can enjoy open sky.
