You will also be at walking distance to many markets, little funny shops, restaurants, cafés, coffee shops, night life and public transport.
The building dates from the 1692 and it is a historical monument: an old warehouse which was - like many others in the old city center - restored to accommodate fashionable apartments.

The Accommodation |
This historical monument was restored years ago to accommodate new designed apartments. The original name of this building was kept and you can still see it painted on the façade: “Het Lam”, which means “The Lamb”. On that time the buildings were not numbered, but they were instead named after the trading material they stored in each warehouse - in this case, probably wool.

The apartment is located on the third (and last) floor of the “achterhuis” (rear house), thus it does not offer view to the canal, but to the typical Dutch roofs and, therefore, you have a good sleep guaranteed.
This accommodation is split into 2 floors and it offers a lot of space, good natural illumination from the windows and it has a cool atmosphere - the furniture is a mixed between the classical and the contemporaneous.

The apartment is set on the Prinsengracht canal, located on one of the best areas of Amsterdam - the “Spiegel Kwartier” - where the main antique shops and galleries can be found, but also the Museum Square.
You will be also at walking distance to everywhere in the city center: the Prinsengracht, the Museum Square, Leidsestraat, Leidseplein and Vondelpark. From there you can easily walk to other areas of the old city - like the Flower Market, the Jordaan, the Dam Square, the Nieuwmarkt and Central Station.
Public transport is just 50m from your doorsteps: bus, tram and taxi (details to be sent on your booking confirmation).

Notes:
- If you arrive much earlier than 2 pm there are two possibilities:
- If the night before your arrival is still available, we can block it on the calendar for you at the moment of your booking; we charge in this case an early arrival fee of 50% of a normal one night rate. You have in this case guarantee of an early check-in (from 8 am);
- If you don’t want to pay the early arrival fee, you can take the risk: there is still the possibility of an early check-in if the accommodation was not booked the night before. In this case you will need to contact your host two days before your arrival (contact numbers will be sent on your booking confirmation) to check if it’s available.
