The building is located on canal side, with a small park as well to the front side.

The Accommodation |

The building dates back from the early 20th Century and it has been beautifully renovated. The accommodation forms the top area with views from all sides.
The Marnix Studio offers a nice open space with everything you may need for a romantic and relaxed stay in Amsterdam.
In detail, sleeps up to two people in
full comfort in a king size double bed (1.60 x 2 m) or, in case you want separate beds, there is an extra fold-up bed available.
This accommodation is large, airy and open plan. It enjoys its
own kitchen with dinning table, bathroom and private entrance way, so you will
feel independent.

The kitchen is open and it has a cooker, micro-wave, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and plenty of space to store everything you want to buy. And there are plenty of markets and supermarkets around…

Notes:
- The studio is a non smoking house, but if it's an emergency you can always smoke in the bathroom blowing to outside with the window open and the door to the bedroom closed;
- It is located on the fourth floor of the building, without lift, and therefore has no disabled facilities. As in many other typical Dutch old buildings, the stairs are quite steep; the owner will help you anyway to bring your luggage upstairs.
- TV, CD, DVD and wireless ADSL connection for use with your laptop.
- Bed linen and towels are provided;

There are actually no house rules, the atmosphere is totally relaxed. As most of this monumental building is made of wood, it is however appreciated to keep noise at a low level.
- Children of (or older than) 5 years are welcome;
- This accommodation is gay friendly;
- Sorry, but no pets are allowed.

Location

The location is central and very convenient. Set
right on the edge of the world famous Jordaan area of Old
Amsterdam, you are walking distance to the Noord Markt, Anne
Frank House, the West Church and Dam Square or beautiful canals
like the Brouwersgracht, the Egelantiersgracht, Prinsengracht,
etc.
The
Jordaan is at the other end of our tiny city from the Amstel.
Equally charming in every way, the Jordaan was once a very
poor area of Amsterdam, taken by the hippies on the 60's,
and now has become a truly exciting and diverse area to explore.
Its cafés and the Dutch people hanging around have
a different character, comparing with other areas of the city.
There are hundreds of small shops, funny Amsterdam houses,
churches and museums, all within a short walk of the Marnix. There is also the convenience
of having a tram within only a 50 meters from the Studio too,
that will take you in 10 minutes to Central Station, Leidseplein, the Flower
Markt or the Museum Square.

Notes:
- If you want to check-in earlier than 2 pm there are two possibilities:
- If the night before your arrival is still available, we can block it on the calendar for you at the moment of your booking; we charge in this case an early arrival fee of 50% of a normal one night rate. You have in this case guarantee of an early check-in (from 8 am);
- If you don’t want to pay the early arrival fee, you can take the risk: there is still the possibility of an early check-in if the accommodation was not booked the night before. In this case you will need to contact your host two days before your arrival (contact numbers will be sent on your booking confirmation) to check if it’s available.

- For early inquiries (longer than 45 days before check-in) and special periods (Easter, Queen’s Day, Gay Pride, IBC conference, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc) we require minimum of 4 nights (unless it fits exactly 3 nights in the calendar);
