The Minos B&B is located in the old center of Amsterdam, at the Amstel River, just on the other side of the Amstel Hotel and at walking distance to many famous venues - perfect for who is staying in Amsterdam for work or short vacation rentals.
This luxurious (but low budget!) Bed and Breakfast is set in a beautiful 17th century canal house. The hosts, a gay couple, offer you high quality and friendly service (and of course a delicious breakfast!).
In principal there are 2 beautiful double guestrooms with views to the garden. Shared bathroom and 2 toilets. No kitchen available for the guests (only to make a cup of coffee or tea).

The Accommodation |

Being a B&B, the whole house is shared between the owners and the guests. Your privacy is though guaranteed: you have your own room and keys, so you can come and go as you please. Everything is actually very relaxed and pleasant - you will really feel at home and that you are staying with friends.
The residence offers a lot of space and style, with sight to the Amstel River on the front of the building and to the garden on the rear. All rooms are tasteful and convenient with beautiful furniture and modern art on the walls.
The house offers also a dining area, a living room with a big flat-screen TV, many media equipments, books and lot of charm.

Basically there are 2 double rooms available for guests. Your comfort is assured with good quality mattress, bed linen and towels. The guest rooms face the stylish and quiet garden at the rear of the house, where you can have a drink, read a book or just relax and enjoy the sun.
A delicious fresh breakfast with your perfect espresso is served in the large and cozy living kitchen, which unfortunately is exclusive for the use of the owners, although it is not a problem if you want to make a cup of coffee or tea of course.
Further there are two toilets and one bathroom (with separate bath and shower) to be shared by everybody in the house.

- This is a non-smoking accommodation, although you can smoke in the garden;
- In case you come with a larger group, a third bedroom may be available;
- It offers 24h ADSL wireless Internet connection in case you bring your laptop with you;
- TV/CD/DVD, washing machine and ironing equipment are available;
- Bed linen and towels are provided;
- Children are welcome;
- Sorry, no pets are allowed; there are two cats already as permanent guests of the house;

Joris & Henning are your hosts: a young Dutch/German gay couple who loves to welcome guests from all over the world and to offer good quality and friendly service.
They speak Dutch, German, English and French, but there isn't actually a problem for people speaking other languages. They are cultured, praise good manners and taste - and are your beginning to find your way in Amsterdam!
That’s why you will be offered a welcome drink upon arrival, so you can have a chat and get the first necessary information that you need to make you stay in Amsterdam as comfortable as possible.
The Minos B&B has also two beautiful cats as permanent guests of the house.

Location

The Minos B&B is situated in the heart of Amsterdam, within walking distance of all internationally renowned museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, etc), as well as major Dutch theatres (Stadsschouwburg, Opera House, Carré, etc) and cinemas. The worldly famous Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug) is almost in front of your house as well as The Amstel Hotel (where the most famous international artists, like Madonna, Mick Jagger and many others stay when in tournée).
It is also of very easy access to Central Station, the Modern Art Museum (Stedelijk Museum), Albert Cuyp Market and all major tourist and gay venues.
After you have enjoyed all of this you can plunge into the nightlife on Rembrandt Square, Leidseplein or the trendy Reguliersdwarsstraat. All within walking distance!
